The Mount Dukono trekking package is priced at USD 200 per person, with a minimum group size of four participants required to proceed. Two porters will accompany the group, one of them doubling as the guide—ensuring support and navigation throughout the hike. The journey lasts for 2 days and 1 night, offering a well-paced and immersive experience. With a knowledgeable guide who understands the terrain and local environment, the trip is designed to be both safe and enjoyable.

For those seeking a more premium and personalized adventure, we offer a private solo trip to Mount Dukono for USD 350 per person. This exclusive package is perfect for travelers who value flexibility, privacy, and comfort. You’ll be accompanied by a dedicated guide and a personal porter, ensuring full support and attention throughout your journey. The trip spans 2 days and 1 night, designed to provide a seamless and enriching solo exploration of Mount Dukono.

This exclusive solo hiking package offers a fully supported and personalized adventure to Mount Dukono. Designed for individual travelers, the trip includes the assistance of a dedicated guide and one personal porter to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. The package covers all essentials: registration and permit fees, water porter, tent and gear porter, meals during the entire trip, round-trip transportation from Ternate to the Dukono basecamp, and two nights of accommodation in Tobelo. What’s Not Included
Please note that tents and personal hiking equipment are not included in either the group or private trip packages. Participants are kindly expected to bring their own gear. If you do not have the necessary equipment, feel free to contact our team in advance, we will be happy to assist you with rental options to ensure you are well-prepared and comfortable during your Mount Dukono adventure.
Important
Due to Dukono’s continous volcanic activity, wearing safety helmet and dust-proof googles is mandatory for all participants. these items are essential to protect against falling debris and volcanic ash, especiall near the crater area. Please make sure to bring your own.
Meeting Point
The meeting point for the Mount Dukono hiking trip is in Ternate City, North Maluku. Participants traveling from outside North Maluku can reach Ternate by two primary transportation options:
- By Air:
You can take a flight directly to Sultan Babullah Airport in Ternate, which offers domestic connections from major Indonesian cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Makassar, and Manado. - By Sea:
Alternatively, you can travel by ship and arrive at Ahmad Yani Harbor in Ternate, which serves passenger vessels connecting various regions including Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.
Upon arrival in Ternate, participants will proceed together toward the Dukono basecamp via Sofifi on Halmahera Island.
